Personal Days
Full-time hourly employees earn personal days after 90 days of employment based on the following schedule: one personal day on the first of January, March, May, July, September and November, or up to six personal days per calendar year.

Full-time salaried employees earn personal days after 30 days of employment based on the same schedule.


Vacation Days
Full-time hourly employees are eligible for vacation based on their hire date:

After one year One week
After two years Two weeks
After five years Three weeks
After ten years Four weeks

Full-time salaried employees are eligible for vacation on the same schedule except in the first year.

After six months One week
After one year One week
After two years Two weeks
After five years Three weeks
After ten years Four weeks

Holidays
If you are an hourly employee and work on a holiday, you will be compensated at double your hourly rate for all hours you work. The recognized holidays are:

Disability Bank
Hours held in the disability bank may be used to pay for absences due to illness, which extends three or more scheduled workdays.

Bereavement Pay
Full-time employees will be given two paid days off to attend to personal matters in the event of the death of an immediate family member. Employees are eligible for this benefit upon hire.

Short Term Sick Pay
Full-time salaried employees are eligible for short-term sick pay after 90 days of employment. Short-term sick pay is designed to provide income protection in case of illness or injury. Short-term sick pay can be used starting with the first day of any illness or injury lasting three or more scheduled days.

Jury Duty
Employees are eligible for regular pay for scheduled time missed due to jury duty.




Group Health and Other Benefits
Full-time hourly employees are eligible for group health, dental, life insurance and accidental death coverage after 90 days of employment. Full-time salaried employees are eligible for these benefits after 30 days of employment. Employee deductions for insurance are pre-tax through payroll.

Retirement and 401(k) Savings Plan
This plan is available to employees who have completed one year of service, have worked one thousand hours, and are 18 years of age or older.  East Bank Club will match your contributions up to 2% of your compensation each year.

Monday through Friday
8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.
After 8:30 p.m.

Weekends and holidays
Before 9 a.m. After 4 p.m.

The following general areas may be used during employee hours:

  • Selectorized Room
  • Basketball courts
  • Free Weight Room
  • First level swimming pool only
  • Boxing area
  • Aerobics classes
  • Wellness Center
  • Cardiovascular Room
  • Golf
 




Employees receive discounts on merchandise and services in the following areas:

  • Pro Shop
  • Salon
  • Women's Locker Room and Spa
  • Racquet Sports

Sun Deck
Employees can purchase food and beverages (except alcoholic beverages) at all hours, Monday through Friday. The employee area on the Sun Deck is the first level (far west side of deck).

Food Shop
Employees may make purchases in the food shop at any time.


Our Place
The employee cafeteria called Our Place is available for employee meals or breaks. Food and beverage can be purchased at discounted prices. Vending machines, refrigerator and microwaves are available for employee use. Food and Beverage employees are entitled to one free meal each day they work.

Guest Passes
On an employee's first anniversary with EBC, he/she is eligible for three guest passes. Each pass is limited to one guest and must be given to the reception desk upon entry to the Club. Guests must be at least 16 years of age. One pass can be used at a time and only during employee hours.

RTA/CTA/Parking Discounts
Expenses related to public transportation and parking in the employee parking lot may be discounted through pre-tax payroll deductions.

Movie Passes
Discounted movie passes are available for several theater companies.

Direct Deposit
EBC employees can elect to have their paychecks deposited directly into their checking or savings accounts.

Tuition Reimbursement
This program is to provide educational assistance to reimburse full-time employees for expenses incurred for school courses related to an employee's specific job. Maximum benefit per calendar year per employee is $1000 (based on length of service). An employee must be employed for a minimum of six months to be eligible for this benefit.

Credit Union
EBC has joined with U.S. Employees Credit Union to provide checking, savings, loans, Christmas Club and other banking services.
